Turkish Tennis Federation Presents Gold Award-Winning Equal Opportunity Strategy to Member Country Federations at World Tennis
The Turkish Tennis Federation (TTF) presented its equal opportunity strategy—which was awarded the Gold Award at the 2025 ITF Advantage All Awards—in detail to member country federations during a webinar organized by World Tennis.
The webinar was attended by Turkish Tennis Federation President Ms. Şafak Müderrisgil, TTF Equal Opportunity Board Member Prof. Dr. Nezih Orhon, and TTF Equal Opportunity Board Member Prof. Dr. Canan Koca Arıtan.
During the presentation, the main pillars of the equal opportunity strategy covering the 2025–2028 period, prepared by the Turkish Tennis Federation Equal Opportunity Board, were shared. The holistic approach of the strategy—shaped around leadership, participation in sports, coaching, officiating, and corporate culture—which supports women to take a more visible, active, and powerful place in all fields of tennis, was conveyed to the participants.
Within the scope of the strategic approach that earned the TTF the Gold Award, applications supporting women to take more places in leadership positions, efforts reinforcing equal opportunity in decision-making mechanisms, and projects aimed at establishing an inclusive corporate culture were detailed.
Additionally, the Tennis Mentorship Program for Women – "Sisterhood on the Court", planned to be implemented, was introduced during the webinar. The program aims to support the athletic, psychological, social, and career developments of female athletes by strengthening experience sharing and a role-model culture, contribute to reducing sport drop-out rates, and lay the groundwork for cultivating future female leaders.
While adopting equal opportunity as one of the core values of its organizational structure, the Turkish Tennis Federation continues to set an example for the international tennis community through the practices it develops and to contribute to sustainable social transformation through tennis.
